At Polyformes, we are continually investing in research and development, new equipment and training for our staff to ensure we have the right skills and tools to provide the best solution for our clients.
With an increasing focus on green initiatives to protect our planet, consumers are more mindful of their buying patterns and are seeking out sustainable products that are packaged with recycled or recyclable materials.
Polyformes has been converting closed-cell polyethylene foam to meet the needs of our clients for the past 40 years and have a special line of recyclable foam products to meet the needs of our clients who require it for our their customers.
With our customers’ needs evolving, so too have we evolved to offer a range of recyclable foam materials and products.
Recyclable foam materials can be customised in the same way as other foam materials for a number of applications including die-cutting, CNC routing & machining, laser engraving and more.
Choose from our range of recyclable foam materials which include: ARPLANK, Ethafoam and Stratocell.
ARPLANK is 100% recyclable and has a high shock absorbency. It is ideal for products that require shock absorption, insulation and chemical resistance.
As the UK's exclusive ARPLANK supplier, our team has a wealth of knowledge on the material. ARPLANK is available in three different densities including ARPLANK 20, ARPLANK 30 and ARPLANK 45 to meet the specific requirements of your business.
Ethafoam recyclable materials are available in a variety of strengths and densities and are best suited for applications that require shock absorption, damage protection, vibration dampening, insulation and buoyancy components. This recyclable foam product is flame-resistant, anti-static, and has a minimum of 65% recycled resin content foam.
Stratocell is a low cost, closed-cell polyethylene foam. Its properties are that it is lightweight, non- abrasive, water-resistant and insulating, making it ideal for packaging applications requiring interior cushioning protection. Stratocell is available in anti-static and recycled grade containing a minimum of 50% recycled resin content.
Stratocell products can be reused multiple times before their protective quality is affected and can be recycled once this occurs. It has an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio and therefore has the advantage of lower transport, fuel and storage costs.
As technology improves and new recycled foam materials become available, businesses are given more choice in finding the right recycled foam material to create the recyclable products or recyclable packaging to achieve their green goals.
